Paprika Fries / Chips
Paprika Chips can be cooked in the oven, but I prefer to make this in an AirFryer. It’s probably my children’s favourite way to have chips.
Ingredients:
1.2 kg potatoes
1 tbsp oil (olive)
2 tsp. paprika
Salt and pepper (optional)
Method:
Wash the Potatoes. Peel if you prefer, but I leave the peel on.
Cut them into fries. I use a cutter for this.
Soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.
Drain them thoroughly and pat dry with kitchen paper.
Preheat the Airfryer to 160°C.
Put the fries in a large bowl or bag with the oil and paprika. Toss to coat them evenly.
Transfer them to the Airfryer basket and set the timer for 16 minutes.
Slide out the basket and shake the fries.
Increase the temperature to 180°C.
Set the timer for another 6 minutes.
Slide out the basket and shake the fries again.
Set the timer for another 6 minutes.
Once the timer rings, the fries should be golden.
Test one to ensure cooked.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve.
Additional Notes:
Make this dish your own by adding spices or different herbs to the dish. Try 1 tsp. paprika and 1 tsp. cayenne.
